Novick Brothers Corporation was founded in 1924, by William Novick, who sold produce from a horse and wagon in the streets of Philadelphia. William’s four sons, Frank, Joe, Jack and Morrie, soon joined the business. In the 1940’s, Novick Brothers was one of the first wholesalers in the country to sell frozen foods, such as vegetables, orange juice and French fries. In the 1970’s, the company entered the dry grocery business and in the 1990’s added meats, poultry and disposables to its product mix. In the 1990’s, William’s grandsons became the third generation of Novicks to lead the firm. In 2008, the company began moving from broad line food distribution to specialized services for preschool and child care centers across 7 states. Childcare Plus Solutions was developed and launched in 2010. We are now servicing child care, schools, healthcare, adult care and treatment centers in 7 states and the District of Columbia from our Baltimore office and Philadelphia headquarters.
